A Success Story from a Drug Treatment Facility

I have the life I used to know so many years ago and I have the life I always dreamed about living. I am so grateful to the Narconon Arrowhead staff and their drug rehab program for helping me achieve this. Words cannot express how I feel. J.Z.

Crystal Meth Addiction

Crystal Meth Addiction
Crystal meth addiction has gone from being primarily a west coast phenomenon to reaching epidemic proportions throughout the country in a very short time. It is one of the most, if not the most, psychologically addictive drugs on the scene today. Many report addiction beginning with the very first use. Consequently, it is one of the hardest drug addictions to treat and many die in its grip. With ingredients like battery acid, drain cleaner, lantern fuel, and anti-freeze being use in the manufacturing process the health risks multiply quickly. As of July 2005, 58% of all U.S. local police and law enforcement staff were reporting methamphetamine abuse as their biggest drug problem.

Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation and Addiction

Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation
The need for truly effective drug and alcohol rehabilitation is becoming ever more vital to American society. One should not come out of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and still be ‘white-knuckling’ it or constantly worrying about relapse. Families should be able to have faith and trust in the loved ones again on their return home. Narconon Arrowhead drug and alcohol rehabilitation deals in results, and by results we mean a drug free, happy and productive life, not just a little clean time. There are very definite factors (the main ones being continued cravings, guilt, and depression) which lead almost inevitably back to drug use. Narconon handles these with a long term, drug free, non-traditional approach that has a proven track record for over 40 years.

Relapse Prevention and Addiction

Relapse Prevention
This may sound obvious but the time for relapse prevention is before the relapse, not after. Too often relapse prevention refers to the next relapse instead of just removing relapse as an issue to begin with. Through 40 years of experience Narconon has discovered and found workable solution to the three causes of relapse – Cravings, guilt, and depression. Make no mistake these are the factors leading to relapse. At Narconon Arrowhead we have a 76% success rate among our graduates. We give the program participants the skills, tools, and abilities to prevent relapse from even getting out of the starting gate.

Drug Rehab Center and Addiction

Drug Rehab Center
Helping the individual create a drug free productive life that lasts a lifetime is the goal of the Narconon Arrowhead drug rehab center. We are a long term drug rehab center and operate from a viewpoint that it is results that count not the amount of time spent. Average stay is from 90 – 120 days depending on the needs of each individual. As a full service drug rehab center we address areas of health, nutrition, detoxification with extended and comprehensive attention given to the factors of cravings, guilt and depression which are the factors behind relapse or continued use. With a 76% success rate Narconon Arrowhead knows what it takes for a drug rehab center to get lasting results.

Ecstasy Drug and Addiction

Ecstasy Drug
MDMA or "ecstasy" is a Schedule I synthetic, psychoactive drug possessing stimulant and hallucinogenic properties. MDMA possesses chemical variations of the stimulant amphetamine or methamphetamine and a hallucinogen, most often mescaline. MDMA can cause adverse effects including nausea, hallucinations, chills, sweating, increases in body temperature, tremors, involuntary teeth clenching, muscle cramping, and blurred vision. MDMA users also report after-effects of anxiety, paranoia, and depression. An MDMA overdose is characterized by high blood pressure, faintness, panic attacks, and, in more severe cases, loss of consciousness, seizures, and a drastic rise in body temperature. MDMA overdoses can be fatal, as they may result in heart failure or extreme heat stroke.
